Select Tool in Map Widget

Good morning,

Is there a way to filter a specific layer (feature class) in the results of a Select Tool in the Map Widget? By default, it selects all features from all layers in the selected area. The user needs only to select features form a point layer.

I'm also in search of this function. We've been using the Web-app-builder for our needs, and it includes a very straightforward method of controlling which layers are selectable. My apps are used for interacting with floor aware building web maps, and as such we have 'Facilities', 'Detail', 'Units', and 'Level' layers. We need the ability to only select items on the 'Units' layer, with the other layers only there for reference.

This scenario can now be achieved with the new Select widget in the latest AGOL update.
