ExB Edit Widget, populate field via Arcade Expression to get user

In my webmap I configure a Form to populate a text field via the GetUser Arcde expression: GetUser(Portal('https://www.arcgis.com'))

It correctly populates the field when editing via ArcGIS Field Maps. But it does not do so when accessing the webmap via the AGOL Map Viewer or ExB. The field is left blank. Is that a known limitation of AGOL/ExB, and is there a timeline for when that functionality will be available?
