AGOL update yesterday broke the zoom to on my search widget

I'm using the Search widget in Experience Builder on one of our heavily used applications. After yesterdays update, the "zoom to" aspect of the search bar is broken. Instead of zooming to the address point, it takes us across the world to Europe.

Anyone else having this issue?

All I can think to do is turn off the zoom to option. But that doesn't resolve the issue.

Not yet, but is this happening for a layer search, the world geolocator service, a local geolocator service, all three?

Yep, update broke something for sure. Just got a minifield React error #185 using search on our public facing map.

Edit: FYI, layer search, using 9 layers. If we drop the # of layers searched down to 4 or 5, functionality seems OK. Never had a problem until this morning.

Previous Functionality:

The user searches by address, parcel number, or name.
The user selects the desired record from the search results.
The Search Widget automatically zooms to the selected result.

Current Behavior (Post-Update):

The user searches by address, parcel number, or name.
The user selects the desired record.
The widget briefly and automatically selects a random record from our database and zooms to that incorrect location.
Almost immediately after, it then displays the correct record, but requires the user to click again to finalize the selection.

This is the full issue my zoom is having.

@gallatingis One of my application search through 4 layers. It isn't as noticeable but it still happens.

@DavidColey that I have notice layer search. I do not use the geolocator services.

Hi @JamesBurton1 Do you have any records in the are that Experience Builder is incorrectly zooming to? Your description and @JudithWammack 's sound very similar if so. @JamesBurton1 @JudithWammack - are your search widget settings set to 'Interact with a map widget' or 'Add custom search sources'. All of mine are set with 'Add custom search sources' and then the zoom and pans are by trigger action. I ask because I am not seeing any zoom pan issues, but I don't have anything set to interact with map widget

@DavidColey mine are set to interact with a map widget. We need to keep it like that because we are using URL Parameters. This is the only way we could get them correct.

I'm using custom search sources pointed to our address locator. I will put in a ticket with ESRI support.

@JamesBurton1 sounds good. Keep me updated. I have found more issues with our map now especially when it is used on Google Chrome.

I cannot reproduce this bug. I think it's related to a specific search input.

It would be very helpful if someone could share a locator service and a sample search input. Feel free to DM me if you prefer to keep it private.

Yep I totally get it @JudithWammack - I am now finding that, although I use the 'custom sources' for a parcel layer that is in the map, and I have the search set to select the first result and zoom to it, the zoom part does not work. The user has to click the zoom tool on the popup, then the map will zoom to the selected parcel.

Subsequent searches do then pan and zoom to next result. So not great. Its behaving very clunky.

@DavidColey I have that same issue. I have to click the zoom tool on the popup. That has been happening since the last update though.

@ShengdiZhang I already have an ESRI case open. They were able to use my link and replicate the problems that I am having. They are still determining what is happening.

I am noticing that our custom locator that we use on AGOL is now plotting all our addresses to Africa. The same locator still works on our Enterprise portal and the 3rd party applications that use it as well. The user who reported it said it was happening yesterday but sort of started working correctly by the end of the day; however this morning, the odd behaviors is back.

This helped in my case; I was able to switch from "Add custom search sources" to "Interact with a Map widget", and then use the "Custom search sources" option to add the same sources my organization was previously using. Search bars worked fine after that.

@JudithWammack - I had to add this trigger action type where I had not had to before:

"To select a feature on a map that corresponds with a selected search result, add the Record selection changes trigger for the Search widget (when configured to use the results panel). Select the Data target, add the Select data records action, and configure it with the feature layer for the map and the fields that bind the connection between the trigger and action data. Additionally, you can add the Zoom to action to zoom the map to the feature."

So now the app does zoom to and then pan to, although there is still some kind of lag out there because when I enter in a second PID, it does not always clear the map right away and pan. The user has to click the search result again.
