Is it possible to use custom print templates with the print widget in AGO?

We would like to configure a custom print template for use with the print widget in Experience Builder in AGO but cant seem to get it configured for use in the app. It will work in Map Viewer but not with the ExB print widget. Is this possible?

Hi @CKillian,

Yes, it's possible but only if you're using your own print service (not the default utility service).

Steps:

Publish your custom print templates via ArcGIS Server.
In Experience Builder, go to Settings > Utilities, and set your custom Print Service URL.
The Print widget will then pull your custom templates.

Default print service = Esri’s standard templates only.
Custom print service = your branding, layouts, logic.

I believe you need to create a custom print geoprocessing service in order to use custom print templates.

currently AGOL premium print service is in beta and is not supported by ExB print widget.

what @VenkataKondepati & @MichaelVolz suggested are true too.

Please note, when you use your enterprise print service to use a portal item as 'layout template', that portal item must be in the portal that your server (hosting print service) is federated to.

You can't have your portal item uploaded to agol and use that with your enterprise print service.
