How to get back to Express mode, if you have switched from express mode to full mode?

Once a project is converted to Full Mode, it cannot go back to Express Mode. It is recommended to copy your project before conversion. There is a popup box that should trigger before turning off Express Mode that will allow you to convert a copy of your project.

Hi Jeffrey!

Thank you for your response. I believe there should be an option to switch between Express Mode and Full Mode. Currently, once you switch to Full Mode; for example, to add a widget or adjust configurations, there’s no way to return to editing in Express Mode. Personally, I find it easier to create a new project in Full Mode rather than copying an existing one, as copying is more cumbersome. Isn't that so?

Copying a project is very easy. In the project select screen, you can hit the three dot menu and click Duplicate.

In the Build Mode find the vertical three dot menu in the Header and click Save As.

And if you are switching out of Express Mode, you can click Move A Copy.

Thank you for your time, it is always good to hear from you. Does copying the project from Full mode to Express mode work? If so, why does it not allow switching back to Express mode afterward? In Express mode, we are unable to perform certain specific edits. To configure apps for a specific device, it is recommended to switch to Full mode.

You answered your own question. Express Mode was intentionally designed to be limited. Express Mode doesn't know what to do with all of the Full Mode options and that's why you can't move a Full Mode project to Express Mode.

Thank you again for your time. The original question pertained to whether it is possible to revert from Full mode back to Express mode after a transition. It was not intended to compare the relative simplicity or complexity of the two modes. Given that both modes utilize many of the same templates and widgets, the focus should be on enabling seamless switching between them, rather than addressing concerns about duplicating or copying components.

These are my questtions:

Does copying the project from Full mode to Express mode work? If so, why does it not allow switching back to Express mode afterward?
