Preview print extents option disappears when a custom printing web tool is used in the Print widget

I have been trying to publish a printing tool from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Enterprise portal, which I have been following the official document and used the Printing tool under the Server Tools toolbox in ArcGIS Pro.

However, I noticed that when a custom printing tool is selected in the Print widget, the "Preview print extents" option in the widget UI would disappear, even though the "Enable print preview" option is enabled in the widget settings. Can't figure out whether this is caused by the widget or the printing tool.

Using ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 and ArcGIS Pro 3.3. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thanks

can you pls check if you have Get Layout Templates Info task in your print service? They service directory of the print service should look like this:
