I am trying to setup an Edit Widget in Experience Builder but no matter what I do I cannot turn off the delete functionality.

My feature service says that features cannot be deleted.

The Edit Widget configuration, in Experience Builder, has the "Delete records" capability turned off.

And yet Experience Builder still allows the user to Delete features / records.

I'm not sure how else I can tell Esri that I do NOT want something deleted.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? I thought that the properties that I have selected make it pretty clear that I do not want to delete features.

All I would like to do is allow my users to make attribute edits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

~Dan

Hey Jeffrey,

Thank you for the quick response. You were 100% correct. I had another user test it and they did not see the Delete functionality. And just like it suggested in the link, I am both the data owner and an Admin... double whammy.

Although I understand the value of having the highest capabilities when being an Admin I find it frustrating when it is not clearly laid out, at least for me, that service properties could be overridden depending on your organizational role.

Thanks again for your help Jeffrey.

Cheers!

~Dan

I found some more information today and edited the blog post. Apparently you can opt-out of elevated permissions if you are on Developer Edition.
