Print Service Issue

Good Morning,

Has something changed with the Print Widget and custom print services? As of Enterprise 11.4 and AGOL we are no longer able to use services that worked in Enterprise 11.3,etc.

Does the error occur when the print widget selects this print service or when the map is printed?

Is there an error message displayed in the network or console in the browser's dev tools?

It would be very helpful if you could share the URL of your print service.

When we add it into the ExB Print Widget it says Service is not started even though it is.

Did you fail to add the Print service in ExB Print Widget or did you fail to print? And where did you see the message "Service is not started"?

Hey @BolanChen

After you add the Print GP Service as a Utility in ExB a red message appears in the config of the Print Widget that’s says Service not Started. It happens in both AGOL and 11.4 Enterprise. It works fine in though in 11.3 Enterprise.

I can't reproduce this problem on the latest AGOL and 11.4. Can you reproduce this problem on the latest AGOL?

Hi, I can reproduce this bug using the Pivot print service in both 11.3 and 11.4. We can confirm that this is a bug in the print widget.

We plan to include a fix in 11.5, which will be released in May.

Have an issue with the print widget. It is not showing any errors in the console or anywhere else but is not producing any openable output.

Please let me know if this is something that can be corrected or is it a bug in the widget!!

Hi @ShengdiZhang ,

We're having the same type of bug reported in this post on our ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4.

We can't, in a nutshell, use the default print widget with any secured map service.

I understand this should be addressed in Enterprise 11.5.

Do you know if this is the case?

@LakshmiRajeevKumar @davidson - is your print service set to Synchronous or Async? I had a print service that runs for ~3mins. It failed when the service was Synchronous, but for longer running services like mine, Asynchronous fixed my issue.

The solution is to upgrade the Enterprise environment to 11.5 , and until you can do that, there is no fix.
