Does the edit widget in ExB has a 'Cancel' button in case users want to delete their edits and start over again?
All I can see is an 'Update' button and not an option to add a 'Cancel' button.
I'm on Enterprise 11.1.

Yes. At the top left corner of the edit widget is a left facing arrow (left of the word "Create Features"). If you click the left arrow, then you get the choice of Continue editing or Discard edits. Consider Discard Edits to be your cancel button as it were.

Our users have been trained in this process and are accustomed to it now, but it does seem like it would be more intuitive and efficient to just add a cancel button to the bottom of the edit panel.

I agree. I did search the ArcGIS Experience Builder Ideas page to see if there was anything similar to this workflow and there is not currently. I'd recommend creating an idea to get this requested functionality in front of the developers.

@Robert_LeClair I have my layer set up to be edited to only attributes. It looks like the example you provided is for a layer where the geometry and the attributes are enabled to edit. Maybe I'm wrong.
I can add that this topic to the ArcGIS Ideas page, even though I need it now 😁
