In the Edit widget (or any other) how do I move a point feature via typing in coordinates?

Question. In WAB this was possible through the Smart Editor widget, via typing in coordinates directly into the fields. This is necessary because GIS is a precise field and dragging a mouse around cannot possibly be more precise than typing in a pair of multiple decimal place numbers, especially when multiple points need to be exactly on top of each other.

How can I do something like this in Experience Builder?

As far as I can tell, the Edit widget only allows moving via dragging the feature.

Hi @DanCopKac,

You can use Tooltips to enter precise coordinates for placing a point or a vertex. See this article for more details.

Enable tooltip and use Lat/Long inputs to set coordinates for moving the point or vertex.

Thank you for the responses. What version of ArcGIS Enterprise is this available on? And what version of Experience Builder is required?

I don't seem to be able to use that functionality on my Enterprise. Pressing tab just cycles through the clickable items in the browser page.

Update: I see this was released after 11.3, so it might possibly be included in the 11.4 Enterprise update (Nov 2024 maybe).

Our environment was just updated to 11.3 last month, and company only approves the budget to upgrade versions every couple of years (as it's not feasible for our team (or most teams, really) to dedicate resources to upgrading the entire environment multiple times a year).

Given the circumstances, how else can I avail our enterprise environment of this critical feature for us to make precise coordinate edits work like it did in WAB, other than waiting till 2026?

You could build your applications in Developer Edition.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am already using DE. I have the custom widget folder set up and have successfully brought in your Draw widget, so I know how to navigate the folder structure and hierarchies.

How do I make a widget that allows my end users coordinate entry for features?

If you are using the latest version of Developer Edition (currently 1.15), the Edit Widget should have all the features in the latest version of ArcGIS Online (June 2024).

If you haven't upgraded to the latest version, you will need to do so. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-questions/how-to-update-local-eb-developers-edition/m-p/1376086#M10569

Note that the next Developer Edition upgrade is due within two months, so if you aren't in a hurry, maybe wait for the next one.

You need to either select a template in the Editor pane under Create features - or - Select an existing feature on the map before you start tabbing around.

Thanks for asking, yep I did. I didn't capture the layers in the screenshot just in case of some confidentiality policy or something, but I've tested the feature out in AGOL, so I kinda know what I should be looking for in terms of how the feature works, etc.
