S123 Formatting from Connect doesn't translate into S123 Widget for ExB

I have a survey that is being shared publicly and the S123 widget with ExB is being used. Currently the conditional color formatting I have set in S123 connect does not transfer into the ExB widget. The color formatting I want to use is the group background color, which would change entirely if a user has filled out each question or not. I.e. for a particular group the background would show red in mobile app until each field is filled out. Once each question is filled out, then it would switch to green. This behavior does not translate (or if it does I cannot figure it out, tried the solution here) into the ExB widget. Has anyone else been able to solve this or have a good work around?

I am using the <div> HTML tags in connect form rather than the "old school" HTML tags

Have you enabled the survey theme within the widget?
