Using the Advanced or List Templates in the Bookmarks Widget, it is possible to make a vertically laid out set of bookmarks that is just a name or name with an icon. Then you could use the following trick to make a dropdown menu. I think it should technically work. I'm not sure you will be able to make it look good.

https://community.esri.com/t5/experience-builder-tips-and-tricks/making-a-dropdown-menu-out-of-a-sidebar/ba-p/1423440

Edit: Re-reading your post. A much simpler option would be to place the Bookmarks Widget in a Widget Controller. This will likely look better as well.

Any ideas for implementing bookmarks in a droplist? I wanted to tuck the bookmarks away in a header bar, in a droplist type widget, and then have the map widget zoom to the bookmark accordingly. As opposed to having a full list of bookmarks visible in the bookmark widget, taking up space on the interface.
