Possible query widget bug leading to buffer initially showing zero results

I'm having an issue with the query widget. I set the widget up to allow a spatial buffer. The first time I try to use the buffer the results come back as zero. If I go back and reapply the buffer then the list of results shows up. It also will continue to work properly so long as I don't refresh the site. But the initial buffer I try to do when the site is first loaded always comes back as zero results. Seems like it may be a bug, but if anyone else has encountered this and has found a way to fix it please let me know.

Upon further testing this seems to be related to the Enable Data Action option within the query widget settings. If I turn off the Enable Data Action then my results show up the first time. When it is turned on, the results do not show up for the first buffer. Still seems to be a bug within the widget to me, but I'm trying to find any potential workaround as being able to export the buffer results is necessary for my use case.
