Auto-refresh a chart in an ExB

I have a chart in an ExB whose bars display categories of data. This data, as a feature layer, updates (truncate then append) every few minutes. However, the chart data does not update without users refreshing the webpage itself. So the data in the chart gets stale. Do you know how to make it so the chart updates its values every few minutes automatically?

I also have the target feature layer set to auto refresh every minute in the ExB, but still it doesn't seem to be updating the chart.

We are on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1; I think that means we are on exbVersion 1.0.
