On-the-fly attribute tables

I have a client that wants me to make a "self-service portal" of sorts, to allow users to select and interact with feature layers themselves. This is no issue in Experience Builder, however - my client would like to dynamically view the attribute table of the currently selected feature layer.

I assume I will have to write custom functionality, or am I missing something?

In ArcGIS Online or Developer Edition 1.14, the Map Layers Widget supports the Add to Table Data Action. So, you can add a blank Table Widget and enable this action and the end user can select any layer and view it in a table.

This option is not currently available in ArcGIS Enterprise.
