The default Swipe Widget in Experience Builder will get you very close to what you want. The Swipe Widget allows for users to compare two different sets of layers at a time and comes with an option to choose what gets displayed on each side of the map. Instead of a dropdown menu, users will need to select what layers they want to see from a set of checkboxes.

I am looking for a way (could be in Experience Builder, or Story Maps, or some other ESRI AGOL app) to create a 'swipe' style comparison map, but with the additional feature of a drop down on the two maps on either side of the slider, enabling the user to choose which images to swipe between. Use case: I have a time series of imagery for my work's project site. I would like to offer co-workers a way to choose between available images in AGOL and swipe between them at will to see changes over time, using different time pairings. Any advice on how to make this happen?
