idea Ability to pass the map extent from one map widget to another in ArcGIS Experience Builder Ideas

We have some complicated EBs that use sections to display different maps that have various filters applied. One of our customer complaints is that when they switch from one section, the map extent is not retained and they need to find their spot again. Being able to pass the extent state of one map widget to another would help solve this issue.

You can do this by clicking on your map and creating a Trigger under the Action tab to pass the extent from one map to another. I have this setup in an EB I created for our public facing Mobility and Parking map. Here is the link: Division of Mobility and Parking Services to see how it works in the different linked maps. Under the Action tab, click on Add action. In the side window that opens select the map widget you want. Then in the new window that opens, select the action of either Pan to or Zoom to. Hope this helps!

Bec

Map Widget Action TabAction Tab Side Window to Select Map Widget TargetTarget Map Widget Action
