idea Enable Button Widget to trigger an action inside the app in ArcGIS Experience Builder Ideas

Experiences can be configured to automate usual workflows when they are well defined, but it's often complicated to define a unique workflow for all users.

If buttons could launch actions (message action or data action) in the app, we could do things such as:

Open a "side bar" containing an edit widget from a button in a form.

Set a "zoom to" action inside a list.

Have a "Define Location" button to trigger an analysis in the Near widget.

Include an "export to CSV" button instead of the action behind the data action menu.

I believe this would really upgrade the user experience!

@DavidL Thanks for the ideas. The Button widget already supports click actions, such as open Widget Controller, toggle Sidebar, etc.:

You can configure it inside the Button widget > Action > Button click action panel.

We will keep a note and evaluate the other three. Thanks.
