My Location widget - message action

I would like to see message actions available for the My Location widget. Specifically, I would like for the My Location widget to be able to automatically set the location for the Near Me widget, similar to how users can use the Search widget to do this (without the additional less intuitive clicking that is needed for a Data action.)

This would be much more intuitive for users. We are trying to have them click Get Location, then have that immediately trigger the Near Me widget to show them the nearest trail marker.

Hi @MelissaSullivan,

After the October 2025 update of ArcGIS Online, the map widget supports Location change message action.

The Near Me widget can be the target of the Location change trigger, which you can configure in the Map widget settings. A trigger occurs when the user retrieves their current location with the Map widget Locate tool. To use your current location as the input location for the Near Me widget, add the Location change trigger in the Map widget settings, choose the Near Me widget as the target, then select the Set location message action.

Thanks for the update! Unfortunately I have the issue of a small phone screen, so the Locate tool is not visible on my map widget. But, if that can be addressed in future updates, this will be very helpful.
