idea Spatial Query action to filter the layer in ArcGIS Experience Builder Ideas

I have a spatial query set up to filter one layer based on an intersect with another. The query results show up fine, but I would like for the query to actually filter the results. I tried doing data actions and I don't think they work to achieve what I'm looking to do. The option to "Show on map" that highlights all the features in yellow is pretty much what I need, but instead of just a visual, I need the layer to be filtered.
