This would be extremely useful in cases where there is a list widget alongside a survey and you want to enter multiple entries to the survey for different features in the list. An alternative approach is to use a dynamic list connected to the feature layer instead, but with large data sources, searching the dynamic list often does not yield a complete list of results (primarily on mobile), requiring the user to type in the entire value or scroll to find it in the list.
