The biggest issue is that when data layer is added to the map, the map will auto-zoom to the extent. I don't think this should happen. Most of the time folks want to add that layer to see how it overlays their current extent. They don't want to zoom to a map view of the whole Earth.&nbsp; Also, there is no indication to the user that a shapefile must be zipped.
