The ExB draw widget is able to select and modify drawn mark-ups , which is great.

However why did you call the option "Select feature" (tooltip)? You should call it "Select drawing(s)" and "Select drawing(s) by rectangle" . This is very confuing for end-users : it does not actualy select features from layers.

I agree, or an alternative is to name them "Select graphics". I was searching ideas to see if someone proposed removing the select features tools from the drawing toolbar not realizing that they select the drawings and not features in a feature layer until I read this idea.

I would suggest re-ordering the tools by putting the drawing tools first and the selection tools second. You need to draw the graphics to be able to select them. Additionally, the drawing tools are not as intuitive as they should be. The undo/redo button only works on the line/polygon you are currently drawing to remove an unwanted vertex. Once you complete it, you have to use the select tool to delete the last drawn item. We use this toolbar on a map for non-GIS/non-techy users and I anticipate they will struggle with learning how to mark up a map without some guidance.
