Print widget | print extent preview rectangle should disappear automatically after print widget is closed

When i use the print widget and choose the option to preview the print extent i get a rectangle that shows the map extent. I click on "Print", the print job is done, i open the result in a new tab and switch back to my experience. I close the print widget but the rectangle with the print extent preview still remains. I find it quite confusing to reopen the widget and untick the preview option just to get rid off the rectangle. It would be nice if the rectangle would disappear after the print widget is closed.

I support this idea. I have large organizations that complain about this and don't understand why this would even be a thing.
