If we install the ArcGIS Web Adaptor on our Enterprise Web Server and have it forward requests to our internal ArcGIS Server site, is it necessary to enable SSL? I understand security is enabled on ArcGIS Server 10.1 now at install. That was not the case in 10.0. Is it necessary to go to SSL for the Web Adaptor to access the ArcGIS Server Site?
I just read this and was concerned:
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/Enabling_SSL_on_ArcGIS_Server_when_accessed_through_the_ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor/015400000600000000/
Thanks for help,
Janie

You don't need SSL for web adaptor.
