topic namespaces parameter WFS 2.0 optional? in ArcGIS Enterprise Questions

Hi community,

I guess I have a simple question, but found different answer at the www. I ask it here:

When I do a getfeature or getpropertyvalue request (WFS 2.0, ArcGIS Server 10.4) at my browser I get an error. I found out that I missed namespaces parameter because if I add this &NAMESPACES=xmlns(xyz,http://www.xyz.com) it worked. OGC says that this parameter is optional. So my question is: is it optional? Or adding a default scheme in ArcGIS Server backend do the trick? Which way is best?

There are a service provider doing the technical side.

Thanks for any feedback!
