      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hey everyone,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am installing ArcGIS for Server 10.1 Enterprise Edition in two virtualized servers : 1 Production and 1 Standby.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Would the multiple machine site deployment scenario suits this business case or is it more suitable to do a Single machine site deployment on each virtual server?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Please kindly advice on that.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

That stated, if you are looking for redundancy then using an NLB for high availability is the way to go. You can have passive/active configuration as per your organizational needs.
