Are there any tools available to perform simulationed load tests against an instance of ArcGIS Server?

For example, I would like to register a bunch of map and image services. Then, run a tool which would allow me to simulate different amounts of users performing actions on the services to see how the server responds.

All suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

You might also try PushToTest TestMaker (open source). It's not specifically aimed at GIS apps, but it IS specifically aimed at load test simulation, and is pretty good at simulating user scenarios, across multiple test nodes.

I really like using Apache JMeter for automated load test simulating. Here are some really helpful tutorials that got me started:
http://tereshenkov.wordpress.com/2013/06/12/apache-jmeter-for-arcgis-server-simple-tutorial/
http://tereshenkov.wordpress.com/2013/07/06/apache-jmeter-for-arcgis-server-using-a-csv-file/

ESRI also has a good blog about this here:
http://blogs.esri.com/esri/supportcenter/2012/06/14/preparing-for-the-flood-will-your-gis-server-sink-or-swim/
