Can I not publish map image layers with ArcGIS Enterprise Basic?

Goal: Test changes from upgrading from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 to 11.5

Use: Publish Feature Classes (edited by multiple users) as Map Image Layers shown in ArcGIS Dashboard.

Proposed environment:

ArcGIS Server 10.9.1
Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1
SQL Enterprise Geodatabase 10.9.1.2.9
ArcGIS GIS Server Basic Up to Four Cores Maintenance license

Can I do this with a basic license? Or can I only do this with Standard/Advanced?

No, ArcGIS Enterprise Basic primarily provides enterprise geodatabase functionality. You can also publish (but not edit) feature services and geodata services.

You will need ArcGIS Enterprise Standard or Advanced.

Is it not possible to create Web Maps/Dashboards using a Feature Service in Portal 10.9.1 (basic license)?

That's how I interpret: "ArcGIS GIS Server Basic cannot be federated as part of an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment."

I thought you were intending on using ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, but you are actually using 10.9.1.

No, this is not possible. ArcGIS Enterprise Basic (aka ArcGIS Server Basic at 10.9.1) only offers enterprise geodatabase functionality. It does not include Web GIS functionality, such as the enterprise portal or ArcGIS Server components.

Hi @DerekLaw

Goal is guaging impact of FQDN change on Feature Classes [Server.dbo.Table changes to dbo.Table] when upgrading to 11.5.x [See doc]

I worry this breaks our SQL stored procedure referencing Feature Classes's FQDN.

My proposed workflow is to install development environment [ArcGIS Enteprise 10.9.1, Enterprise Geodatabase 10.9.1] and upgrade to 11 to see if a test SQL objects break to.

It seems that a basic license isn't sufficient, so I need to purchase a standard license. Sounds right?

Based on what you wrote, yes - you'll need to upgrade your ArcGIS Enterprise license.
