ESRI Notebook 11.5 - Linux Docker is Podman supported?

Hi,

We are planning an ArcGIS Notebook Server 11.5 deployment in a fully disconnected Linux environment.
Our organization’s approved offline repositories include Podman, but Docker Engine CE is not currently available.
The 11.5 documentation states a requirement for Docker Engine Community Edition 28.0.1 or later.
Question:
Can Podman be used as a supported substitute for Docker Engine when installing ArcGIS Notebook Server 11.5?
Specifically:
Is Podman officially supported by ESRI for Notebook Server?
If not supported, are there any known functional limitations or failure modes when attempting to use Podman?
In disconnected environments, is Docker Engine CE still the only supported container runtime?
We are trying to ensure our deployment remains fully supported by ESRI, especially given the constraints of an air-gapped environment.
Any official guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Podman seems to be gaining traction with a lot of other development communities. If its not yet supported by ESRI, I would hope that it soon could be, that would provide a lot more flexibility to system deployments.
