topic Azure / ArcGIS Enterprise Deployment Patterns / Public Facing Routing Services in ArcGIS Enterprise Questions

Hi all,

We are currently operating an internal geospatial program using ArcGIS Online for our infrastructure. We are also heavy user of SQL Server (Azure VM) for non-spatial data.

There is a need to create a public facing routing application to navigate pedestrians and cyclists on pathways in our town.

To publish routing services to an online environment, this would require an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment. What kind of hardware and deployment pattern would be suggested to support a public navigation app in a small town that spikes to 20,000 tourists in the summer season?

Any discussion on the topic is greatly appreciated! If you support Enterprise, and routing services, please tell me about your set up!

If you think this could be accomplished in a better way, please chime in. I am also considering creating a .NET MAUI app w/ the pathways inside a mobile map package.

PS. We are looking into Azure VMs for the potential Enterprise deployment.

Thanks,

Jack
