Hi @mody_buchbinder,

There's a whitepaper by Esri which describes the requirements for a GPU for virtualization of ArcGIS Pro:

https://www.esri.com/content/dam/esrisites/en-us/media/technical-papers/virtualization-of-arcgis-pro.pdf

Nvidia has also produced a similar white paper:

https://www.nvidia.com/content/dam/en-zz/Solutions/design-visualization/solutions/resources/documents1/nvidia_quadro_vdws_app_sizing_guide_for_esri_final.pdf

I'd assume you'd be safe to pick any Nvidia GPU that supports CUDA 5.2 or later - the Spatial Analyst Extension for ArcGIS Server documentation loops back to ArcGIS Pro in this article, which seems to suggest it's the same toolbox being used in ArcGIS Server: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/get-started/windows/server-extensions.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_A04EDF417080479398F023E0D2CC0706

Please note there are some additional setup steps to prevent your GPU from being used as desktop visualization and to concentrate on compute: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/spatial-analyst/gpu-processing-with-spatial-analyst.htm

Hi All

We would like to publish GP service that uses Geodesic Viewshad

This should work much better when you have GPU on the server.

We read this: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/spatial-analyst/gpu-processing-with-spatial-analyst.htm and it gives a lot of info.

We would like to know if anybody out there is using graphic card on server and what is the model of this card.

This service: https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Elevation/ESRI_Elevation_World/GPServer/Viewshed looks like it uses GPU too (works very quickly). Anybody know is it using GPU and what is the model?

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for all the info, it does help.

My problem is that I do not see anywhere any reference to ArcGIS Server with GP service.

As far as I understand the papers when they say server they mean using Pro in RDP or some other remote software.

I would like to know if anybody out there have a GP service that uses one of the GPU enables geoprocessing commands and uses GPU on the server.

Graphic card for server is not cheap, we would like to use other people experience.
