topic ArcGIS Server on Virtual Machine Reserved Memory in ArcGIS Enterprise Questions

We are migrating our ArcGIS Server to a new virtual machine. I have looked at the requirements/recommendations and there seem to be no fixed rules as everyone's requirements differ. However, one question - should the memory on the virtual machine be reserved? When I was setting up FME Server, it was recommended that it had reserved memory so the memory was always there when it was needed. I just wondered if there were any potential performance advantages. Thanks

Yes! Memory consumption is highly dynamic (unless it’s purely in the hosting server role). You don’t want spiky behaviour and no memory to allow it. So yes it needs to be reserved/fully provisioned.
