Port number: ???ESRI license server??? and ???ERDAS license Server???,

We are trying to install the ???ECW for ArcGIS Server 10.1 Version 11.1??? and still confronting issues as shown in the screenshots below

[ATTACH=CONFIG]23065[/ATTACH], [ATTACH=CONFIG]23066[/ATTACH], [ATTACH=CONFIG]23067[/ATTACH], [ATTACH=CONFIG]23068[/ATTACH]

We were advised to check if there is a conflict in port number between ESRI license server and ERDAS license Server

My issue now that I have no idea how to check the port number taken by the ArcGIS server

If you want to check what port is being used, check the license manager log file. If using a Firewall, you need to lock down the ports.

I noticed you are also using ERDAS license manager. ArcGIS License Manager doesn't like competing with other license managers (it can be done though). See this article, not sure if it still applies:

Problem: ESRI and ERDAS license managers may conflict when installed on the same computer

My advice: If you can put license manager on it's own machine, life will be easier.

Yes, if editing the service.txt

An example from my machine:

SERVER this_host ANY 27000
VENDOR ARCGIS PORT=27004
INCREMENT ACT ARCGIS 1 permanent 1 0C8080D1B377B6E205C6 \
vendor_info=734XCAP6LGGLCXJ9S195

The second entry (VENDOR ARCGIS PORT) is your choice. Some people choose 27009.

Once you do this, restart License Manager service, then add the exclusions in your Firewall.

Tom is correct. The link I posted: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/62593-ArcGIS-License-Manager-10.1-and-AutoCAD-issues is correct. What I wanted you (and others) to read is Stuart F's excellent explanation on how licensing and license manager works.

In my experience this issue is usually:

1. Firewall related, if so, follow that Help article

2 Conflict with 3rd party license manager, such as AutoCad. I usually do the same - follow the article because it locks the ports to ArcGIS
