I am using ArcMap 10.8.1. I've finished configuring symbology for this layer:</P><P><span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="MarkLauer_0-1670599787600.png" style="width: 400px;"><img src="https://community.esri.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/58131i97689D4605C69339/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;px=400" role="button" title="MarkLauer_0-1670599787600.png" alt="MarkLauer_0-1670599787600.png" /></span></P><P>Now let's say I need to make a symbol change. I open Layer Properties and the Symbology tab, and the symbols are automatically resorted. The symbol legend is now "wrong". I can cancel out of it safely, but if I need to make a change then I also need to re-sort everything. How can I prevent this automatic sorting?</P><P>Note that I am not referring to Symbol Levels, through I did experiment to see if that would "lock" the order.
