PDF not recognized as data files in configurable apps

Hi everyone,

I'm working in Enterprise 10.8.1.

I'm creating a gallery for my arcgis enteprise org to browse printable maps as PDF. To make this happen i'm going through an enterprise site in which i'm using a configurable app (category gallery template) to display all PDFs. All PDFs are shared in the site content group and the configurable app is pointing in the same group.

I've uploaded a PDF and it's visible into the configurable app (when all items are displayed) :

But when i'm switching the app into Data Files only for the items displayed the PDFs are not shown anymore :

As for the other options :

- Select the ways you want to allow users to filter content in your gallery. : Categories & tags.

- Select the filters you want to be open by default. : Categories & tags.

- Select the item type classes users will be able to filter by in your gallery. : Files.

In the page listing all items & item types (https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/users-groups-and-items/items-and-item-types.htm), PDF are indeed shown as Data files and that's why i'm posting here.
