Geometry check options on web editing with data in ArcGIS Data Store

Hello Everyone

Sorry I am no expert in this field hence my question.

For testing purposes I am trying to understand how is it possible to make geometry checks when editing data over a Web App using data in ArcGIS Data Store.

Simple Test. Apologies. Its a learning experience.

I want to allow a user to add a point (in this case identifing as a house) to a editable layer.
I also have a polygon layer which holds lake information.

Naturally I do not want a user to put a house in a lake.

What would be the options in the Web App to display an error message if a user tries this operation?

Is this standard practice in the smart editor...?...can I customise the smart editor..? can I use Arcade?...or do I have to use Javascript?
