Users can't edit features in Web App

On Web App, when user selects an editable feature, the Ellipses menu does not include "Edit" option. This seems to happen in Web Apps hosted on our Portal, but Web Apps on AGOL still have "Edit" option.

What setting do I need to change to allow users to edit layers in a Web App?

(Yes, the layer has editing enabled for "all features" with "Add, update and delete features".)

From what you describe, you probably haven't added the editor widget to the App. Go to the widgets tab, select the Edit or Smart Edit widget, configure the settings of the widget then subsequently use the widget for editing purposes.

Thank you, that would work…. But my question is specific to the ellipses and why that option to edit is not available…

I would like to have the intuitive editing option that users are used to, rather than adding a new edit toolbar and retraining them.
