Map Viewer Beta as default map viewer

I've had a look around and couldn't find an up-to-date and straightforward answer.

Is it possible to set Map Viewer Beta as the default map viewer in the ArcGIS Enterprise Portal?

Ahh, we have not upgraded to 10.9 yet. And most likely won't until 10.9.1

Thanks George. We've got the Map Viewer Beta configured and available to use. We were hoping to replace the 'Open in Map Viewer' shortcuts to 'Open in Map Viewer Beta' and to automatically open Map Viewer Beta without pop ups, etc.

But from what i've been reading it seems like this feature isn't available just yet.

Thank you for the documentation though. It has still provided some great information that I can use.
