Hi,

We're in the process of upgrading servers from 2012 to 2019 - both OS and SQL Server. We have licenses for both Enterprise and Standard SQL. What are the pros and cons of each? We have at least two servers that will have the potential of several thousand users hitting it, the others will be limited to about 100 or less users, but could have heavy geoprocessing performed against the data stored there.

Thanks,

Lorinda

I think that this is more of a Microsoft thing and not Esri. In terms of ArcGIS clients, we support either edition.

The main differences are on the # of cores / memory / capabilities; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/sql-server-2019-comparison

PDF: https://download.microsoft.com/download/2/9/0/290f991b-5971-42e5-bb2c-81f700622b2e/SQL%20Server%202019%20Editions%20Datasheet.pdf

Hope that helps!
