As per <A href="https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/analysis/api-reference/extract-data.htm">HERE</A>​ to use in apps.</P><P></P><P>If I understand it correctly, in order to extract data using the esri hosted ExtractData service you must also use hosted feature services to enable extraction.
