    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;OK. I've seen cases where the keycodes file has expired line-items that can cause issues like this. Besides the line for Portal for ArcGIS, are there any other products or extensions that may have expired listed in the keycodes file?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm getting this error when trying to start Portal:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Portal for ArcGIS does not have a valid license.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've bounced the license manager and re-authorized the license.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd rather not un-install/re-install if I can avoid it, so . . . thoughts?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the version of Portal?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it is ver. 10.5, you will need authorize&amp;nbsp;a license of the same version. Older license codes/files won't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Moreover (I think you know this), the license code for Portal for ArcGIS is different from the code of ArcGIS Server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, ArcGIS Enterprise isn't tied to the ArcGIS Desktop license manager. Do you have a perpetual or term license? It may be that the license has expired. Check down in &lt;A href="https://community.esri.com/"&gt;\\program&lt;/A&gt; files (x86)\esri\license10.x\sysgen - there should be a 'keycodes' file. Open it with notepad and the expiration date should be noted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Was your portal working previously?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Version is 10.2.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are just now starting to look into Portal, and yes it was working as of a couple of weeks ago.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Expiration in the keycodes file is 15-Oct-2018&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
