Publishing multipatch

Hi,

I am trying to publish a multipatch layer as a web scene. Can I use my enterprise db (postgres) as the managed database with ArcGIS datastore for the tilecache using the configuredatastore bat file?

Must ArcGIS data store be used for publishing and hosting scene layers?

I am currently on ArcGIS 10.4 with Postgres 9.3

Data Store has to be configured with Portal for ArcGIS, in order to publish 3D web scenes from multipatch layer.

Your portal must be configured with ArcGIS Data Store (10.3.1 or later release) to publish hosted scene layers using multipatch data. You can publish hosted scene layers using 3D point data beginning with ArcGIS 10.4 Data Store and Portal for ArcGIS 10.4.
