Join Site ArcGIS 10.5.1 fail "Input or output streams cannot be null"

Hi,

we are trying to join a new AGS to an existing site, but it fail with this error:

Failed to join the site 'https://machine1.domain.com:6443/arcgis/admin/'.
Server machine 'https://machine1.domain.com:6443/arcgis/admin//machines/register' returned an error.
'Failed to register the server machine 'machine2.domain.com'.
Server machine 'https://machine2.domain.com:6443/arcgis/admin' returned an error.

The ArcGIS Server has the config-store and the directories folder on a shared location an both machine have permission.

Also the one with site running is federated with Portal and has a ArcGIS DataStore.

I tried to unfederate the ArcGIS server with Portal and try to join the new machine to the site but the error is the same.

Both machine have the same SO and hardware specs.

Any idea?

We are facing similar issue with our setup in 10.8.1. Where you able to resolve this issue?

Will appreciate if you could share your thoughts on this.
