I have also installed 2 instances of the web adaptor. One is called arcgis which I stalled on port 80 and configured with ArcGIS for server. Other one is called portal installed on port 443 and I am trying to configure with the portal. I am getting the configure page to come up and then when I chose portal to ArcGIS to configure, I am getting a 404 error.
