Upgrading ArcGIS server from Standard to Advanced,

For the time being, I have a license for the ArcGIS server STANDARD with image server.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]24020[/ATTACH], [ATTACH=CONFIG]24021[/ATTACH]

I got an evaluation license for the ArcGIS server STANDARD with other 3 extensions: 3D analyst, spatial analyst and Network analyst. I have generated the ecp file and used it as a new license file but sounds that my ArcGIS server is still in the standard level. It is not upgraded!

What is the best practice to upgrade from Standard to the advanced (with evaluation license of permanent)?

It's really just a license upgrade. Run software authorization wizard and when prompted enter the new license number. You can verify the upgrade by checking the keycodes file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Esri\License10.1\sysgen\keycodes

If problems, rename the keycodes file and run the wizard again.

I managed to browse to the authorization file and then to re-start the machine to let the new upgrade take effect and it works fine

Thanks, renaming the key code file was what i needed to do, too. Just once i would like an esri product to work like it should with out having to spend 30 minutes futzing with it to get it to behave.

I agree. Like the software but the licensing both server and desktop can be a pain.
