topic SDEINTERCEPT in ArcGIS Enterprise Questions

Hi,

We're (still) running ArcGIS 10.2.1 and have experienced a sudden increase in the time taken to open our template mxd files, in ArcMap, in the past few days. A complex mxd can take up to an hour to open. Layers from one of our sde databases seem to cause this issue.

Interestingly, new mxd files, populated ArcCatalog, perform well with the same layers included.

I have created a benchmarking mxd, which contains one layer, and run the SDEINTERCEPT tool. It's clear that there is a wait around the CloseStream/GDBTableGetTimestampList commands, but I'm not sure what this tells me. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Carl

========================================
[R 17:06:31.342] Command: ExecuteSpatialQuery
[R 17:06:31.342] Long: 1
[W 17:06:31.356] Long: 0
========================================
[R 17:06:31.357] Command: NextBuffer
[R 17:06:31.357] Long: 1
[W 17:06:31.357] Long: 0
[W 17:06:31.357] Long: 0
[W 17:06:31.357] Long: 0
[W 17:06:31.357] Short: -1
[W 17:06:31.357] Long: 1
[W 17:06:31.357] Long: 0
========================================
[R 17:06:31.357] Command: CloseStream
[R 17:06:31.357] Long: 1
[R 17:06:31.357] Long: 1
[W 17:06:31.369] Long: 0
========================================
[R 17:09:24.047] Command: GDBTableGetTimestampList
[W 17:09:24.083] Long: 0
[W 17:09:24.083] Long: 5
[W 17:09:24.083] NString: "GDB_REPLICALOG"
[W 17:09:24.083] ULong: 0
[W 17:09:24.084] NString: "GDB_ITEMTYPES"
[W 17:09:24.084] ULong: 34
[W 17:09:24.084] NString: "GDB_ITEMRELATIONSHIPTYPES"
[W 17:09:24.084] ULong: 17
[W 17:09:24.084] NString: "GDB_ITEMS"
[W 17:09:24.084] ULong: 558142
[W 17:09:24.084] NString: "GDB_ITEMRELATIONSHIPS"
[W 17:09:24.084] ULong: 124001
========================================
[R 17:09:45.815] Command: TableFreeLock
[R 17:09:45.816] NString: "sde_live.GISDATALOADER.Master_SQLGeom"
[W 17:09:45.838] Long: 0
