web adaptor stopped working

Our web adaptor has stopped working;

We have server 10.22 running runing on 1 vm

We have web adaptor 10.22 runing on another vm

The data used in the map services running on the vm with arcgis server are on a standard server machine as a registered data store in ags.

What has happened is the server with the registered data store has re-booted, which in turn has broken all the data connections

in the map services, this ags machine was then re-booted, which appears to have broken the web adaptor.

When trying to access the web services via the web adpator we get "500 - Internal server error."

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this ?

I would go to the web adaptor config page and configure it again. If still a problem, uninstall/reinstall.

Yes I agree. I've had to do that a few times and re-configuring the web adaptor has always worked for us-

Never found the original cause for this, so we reinstalled everything !
