topic KML to Web Map service in ArcGIS Enterprise Questions

I am trying to create a Geoprocessing Service from a kml file input. I would like to use the Flexviewer builder and the Geoprocessing Tool. I've created a service by publishing the results of a python script that runs and creates output data in file gdb format. I would like the tool to be able to select an input kml file, run the script and then display the results on the web map as a temporary service. The "actual" file gdb output would not be created - or maybe it needs to be since the KML to Layer tool in ArcGIS must run before it can be rendered into a service. I've got the tool available and I've defined the input as a DataFile. However, when I try to enter anything into the DataFile location I get an error that it is invalid. Seems like there should be an easier way. I am not an API programmer, just trying to use the available tools. Seems like this should work.

We have our own internal ArcGIS for Server.

Have not installed Portal
