MXD Analysis on 10.1 before Server 10.1 installed?

Hi,
I understand the MXD Analysis on 10.1 is more rigourous than in release 10.0. I still have all my 10.0 installed in Desktop and ArcGIS Server. Is it possible to uninstall Desktop 10.0 on a laptop. Then install Desktop 10.1 to analyze my mxds BEFORE I install 10.1 ArcGIS Server?
I don't want to be down fixing MXDs for awhile during my ArcGIS Server installation and the republishing of all my maps webservices at 10.1. I am trying to have everything cleaned up before I "go live".

yes, you can from arcmap 10.1:
-from menu File select Share as service
-select Save a service definition file
-select No available connection
-next
-next
-and now click on Analyze for check possible error.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your response. I wasn't sure without a connection, if I could get far enough to do the analysis of the MXDs at 10.1. This is wonderful.
